“My name is Alyssa Goya.
I am a 22-year-old Peace Corps Education Volunteer serving in the North West province of South Africa. In just eleven months in South Africa, my eyes have been widened by both South Africans and fellow Americans. My worldview has shifted, superimposed upon the girl who enjoys travel and learning about new cultures is a woman who strives for to engage with the tough stuff; race, gender, inequality- and the paths to inclusion and greater awareness.

I am a graduate of the University of Arizona (2016) with a B.A. in Spanish and a B.S. in Global Studies.
