We have been married for three years and together for nearly ten years. We love traveling, serving abroad and learning about new cultures. - The Magic of Timket
So on January 22 we celebrated the Ethiopia Orthodox holiday of Timket ( also known as baptism or the epiphany). This holiday is 15 days after the Ethiopian Christmas and celebrates Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River. Way back at training (September 2015) we heard that volunteers would have a chance to apply for the Grassroots Soccer (GRS) training, a curriculum that uses various soccer activities to teach about HIV/AIDS and life skills. So I know we really have not been posting that much. But do know, that we are still living safely and happily (most days) in Ethiopia, teaching English in Tigray at our respective schools.
